This spring the National Street Rod Association® presents its 33rd Annual Western Street Rod Nationals®. The dates for Bakersfield’s largest vintage car show will be April 24-26, 2009

33rd Annual Western Street Rod Nationals 2009

This will make it the 23rd year that the National Street Rod Association - Western Street Rod Nationals® have been held in Bakersfield and a high level of participants and spectators are predicted. The event will practically takes over the entire fairgrounds, there will be over 100 manufacturer and dealer displays and various other attractions. Don’t miss the swap meet and women’s world!

The host of the event, the NSRA, defines a Street Rod as a modernized vintage vehicle that must be of Pre 1949 manufacture date. These vehicles are equipped with the latest options available on the newest model vehicles, including but not limited to disc brakes, air conditioning, cruise control, and tilt steering wheel. Most of the attendees have updated the motor and drive train to enable the owner to cruise in comfort and style, while at the same time safely maintaining the speeds of modern vehicles. This allows owners to bring in vehicles from all over the United States. All vehicles must be driven on to the grounds.

This is truly a national gathering of every possible vintage vehicle imagined. The NSRA Western Street Rod Nationals is the area’s largest participation event and many spectators from around the local area will be attending the event.

The NSRA Western Street Rod Nationals is an excellent event for spectators to attend and all that take the time to attend will be treated to some of the most beautiful, well built vintage vehicles ever assembled in one spot. One of the special attractions for visitors is that they can walk right up to the vehicles and check up close. All are in the open and can be examined top to bottom, front to back, inside and out. While the beautiful paint and other features of the car should not be touched, spectators are free to look at them for as long as they wish.

This one of a kind classic car show will be at the Kern County Fairgrounds in Bakersfield CA, and will be open to the public April 24, 25, 26, 2009. Admission Prices

$14.00 - 13 years and Older
$5.00 - Children 6 through 12.
FREE - Children 5 and under when accompanied by an adult

A special discounted $12.00 admission is available for military personnel with proper military identification, NSRA members with their current membership card or anyone 60 years of age and older. One discounted admission per person.
