Yes… Louisville Kentucky will be the venue for the National Street Rod Association’s - 39th Annual Street Rod Nationals. This is a yearly mecca for everything Street Rod, Hot Rod, Customs, Rat Rod, etc. The dates for Louisville’s largest annual car show will be July 31 - August 3, 2008 at the Kentucky Exposition Center - Louisville, Kentucky. In our opinion, this is it. This is “THE” Car Show of the year in the United States. And this year promises to be no different. It will be exciting, mind blowing, incredible and awesome. If you have never been to Louisville to attend the Street Rod Nationals, it is definitely on our “list” of the best yearly car shows - events held every year in the U.S.
This year, all things associated with the Street Rod Nationals should be true once again. The Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville is an unbelievable venue that this year will be comprised of approximately 700,000 square feet of nicely air conditioned space. Contained within will be over 400 exhibitors and it shall serve as the focal point for the over 12,000 fantastic street rods, the colorful owners, and the wonderful fans and spectators. The 2008 NSRA Street Rod Nationals promises to be the most impressive annual event held so far in the events history.
Don’t forget to visit the Street Rod Nationals swap meet!
While this NSRA is a pre-1949 event, lately there has been a host of later model cars and parts in the swap meet. In recent years, it seemed like Chevys were dominating the car category, but last year it was a little more difficult to figure, as many Fords, a variety of Mopars, and even a Metropolitan were made available.

Although the humidity and heat in Kentucky during August can be a very compelling argument for shopping for some new parts inside the air conditioning, there’s just something about looking at row after row of cars and parts to get your creative juices flowing. Fact is, adventuring around the swap meet is a great treasure hunt… you never know what you are going to find until you go check it all out.
