Let’s get ready for Knoxville 2009! Over 3,000 fantastic classic Hot Rods and Street Rods will be at the Chilhowee Park and Exposition Center Knoxville TN in May 2009 as the National Street Rod Association® presents its 35th Street Rod Nationals South®. This is going to be the 35th time that the NSRA - Street Rod Nationals South® have been held in Knoxville TN.  It is going to be really exciting with a high number of visitors and participants expected.  There should be over 200 manufacturer and dealer exhibits, with various other attractions such as the Swap Meet and Women’s World.





The National Street Rod Association® defines a Street Rod as a modernized vintage vehicle that must be of Pre 1949 manufacture date.  The cars are equipped with some of the latest options available.  Including but not limited to disc brakes, air conditioning, cruise control, and tilt steering wheel.  Most of the participants attending have updated the engine and drive train to enable the owner to cruise in comfort and style, while at the same time safely maintaining modern speeds on the open road. This allows owners to bring in vehicles from all over the United States.   All vehicles must be driven on to the show grounds.





This event is a fantastic national gathering of every vintage vehicle you can imagine.  The NSRA Street Rod Nationals South® is the one of the area’s largest association event, and many spectators from around the United States and abroad will be in attendance.

The Street Rod Nationals South is an excellent event for spectators.   All that take the time to participate will be witness to some of the most gorgeous, well built vintage vehicles ever assembled in the same place.  One of the special attractions for visitors, you can walk right up to the vehicles and take the time to get an up close and personal look.   All are in the open and can be examined top to bottom, front to back, inside and out.   While the beautiful paint and other features on the car should not be touched, spectators are free to look at them for as long as they wish.

This exciting car show will be at the Chilhowee Park and Exposition Center Knoxville TN, and will be open to the public May 1, 2, 3, 2009. Thursday, May 1st - 830 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday, May 2nd - 830 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, May 3rd - 830 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Spectator Admission Fees

$14.00 - 13 years and Older
$5.00 - Children 6 through 12.
FREE - Children 5 and under when accompanied by an adult

A special discounted $12.00 admission is available for military personnel with proper military Identification, NSRA members with their current membership card or anyone 60 years of age and older. One discounted admission per person.
